Personal Introduction

Currently an external MBA tutor at China Europe International Business School, Ms. Qiu holds a master’s degree in law from China University of Political Science and Law and an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree acquired from China Europe International Business School in 2018. She was also admitted as a CEO of finance by PBC School of Finance, Tsinghua University, in 2020. She once served as the deputy chief judge of the civil division of a court. During his eight-year court work, she concluded more than 2,200 civil and commercial cases in connection with company-related disputes, disputes related to equity, securities and trust, disputes related to real estate construction and other contracts. Ms. Qiu Lin is familiar with litigation, arbitration and enforcement procedures as well as adjudication ideas, has strong logical analysis and thinking abilities, is able to accurately grasp the focus of disputes in each case, is good at utilizing and discovering evidence, and has keen insights and strong adaptability. Ms. Qiu Lin also serves as an arbitrator in the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission and several arbitration commissions in Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenyang, Chengdu, etc. Furthermore, boasting a solid foundation in legal theory, Ms. Qiu Lin is one of the authors of Legal Practice of VAM Dispute Resolutions, the first practical professional book in the equity investment field that integrates theory and practice.

• Represented Beijing Hesheng Yujing Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. in a land development arbitration case involving nearly RMB 300 million;
• Represented Qingdao Liqun Group Guarantee Investment Co., Ltd. in a land development dispute case involving more than RMB 500 million;
• Successfully represented Shenwan Hongyuan Securities Co., Ltd. in a stock pledge securities repurchase dispute involving nearly RMB 300 million;
• Represented Zhao, et al. in the first instance of a series of business trust disputes against Zhongrong International Trust Co., Ltd. (a total of 8 cases involving RMB 200 million), which was the first “umbrella trust” case in Beijing;
• Represented a leading film and television company in a film investment dispute case involving more than RMB one hundred million;
• Represented a Beijing-based medical asset management company, a Beijing-based hospital and a central government-owned enterprise listed in Hong Kong in China’s first IOT case;
• Represented Beijing ChinaEquity Yingda Equity Investment Center (Limited Partnership), Beijing ChinaEquity Equity Investment Management Co., Ltd. and Beijing ChinaEquity Investment Co., Ltd. against Chang An Insurance Sales Co., Ltd. in a private equity fund channel business dispute involving more than RMB 100 million;
• Represented Sinovel Wind Group Co., Ltd. in a series of securities misrepresentation disputes (more than one hundred cases);
• Represented a listed company in a lawsuit involving a dispute over the release of restricted sales of shares worth more than RMB 200 million in the process of exercising the ESOP of the company;
• Represented Beijing Dongrun Investment Group Co., Ltd. in a lawsuit involving an equity transfer dispute worth nearly RMB 200 million;
• Represented a well-known artist in the retrial of a VAM dispute involving more than RMB 100 million.
